Tara welcomes Break Point Tennis with tennis pro Trace Vincent and the Break Point Tennis instructors. We are very excited about being able to offer this new opportunity for tennis!

Trace along with his wife Diana will bring consistency to our tennis program.

Trace is a member of the United States Tennis Professional Association. Trace is an Exclusive ACE Certified Tennis Professional in Louisiana and has a Professional Level 1 Certification. He served as pro at several clubs in the state. Before going out on his own, his last position was Associate Head Pro at Bocage from January 2004 to August 2005. Trace loves to work with and develop junior players along with coaching USTA League teams.

Trace and Diana have both played competitively as juniors. Diana attended McNeese State University on a full scholarship where she played the #1 position for the women's team. She served as the Junior Tennis Director for the Louisiana Tennis Association from 2000 - 2002 where she helped to promote after-school and competitive tennis around the state.

RATES:

Private (1 Hr) - $45

Semi-Private (2 people) - $50/hr.

Team Lessons - varies by number of people on team & frequency

Junior Program:

Futures - $9 per class on Monday and Wednesday each week 45 mins

Challengers I and II - $12/hr

Masters - $12/hr

If you are just a beginner, intermediate, or seasoned player, you will enjoy the courts at Tara. There are four lighted courts for your enjoyment! For more information on tennis, read the Court Rules posted on this web site.

Tennis courts are open daily until 10:00 pm. When the pool is open, a guest fee of $3.00 is required. Please sign in your guest and pay guest fee at the guard hut.

Court use is on a first come first serve basis and can be used for a maximum of 1 ½ hours unless there is no one waiting for an open court.

Court priority for tennis lessons is court 4. Please use courts 1 and 2 if available during tennis lessons.

The newer courts (the ones closest to Tara Blvd.) are to be used by the children for tennis play. Courts are for tennis only and not for playing ball or other activities. Please be sure that you children understand this.

The older courts behind the club house are for adults only and a sign is posted stating this rule. These courts should stay locked and used by adults only.
